Lozova community during the war

After the full-scale military invasion of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine, the Lozova city territorial community is not on the contact line, but, unfortunately, periodically suffers from rocket attacks. Since the beginning of the military aggression, the Lozova city territorial community has been subjected to missile strikes more than 30 times. As a result of missile strikes, 186 apartment buildings, 255 individual residential buildings, 56 critical infrastructure facilities, and 53 social facilities were damaged. The Lozova City Palace of Culture, which was the center of the cultural life of the city of Lozova, and Lozova Lyceum No. 8 suffered the greatest critical damage from a direct hit by missiles.

Since the beginning of hostilities, the number of internally displaced persons officially registered in the Lozova city territorial community has increased by 11 thousand and at the beginning of 2024 amounted to almost 13 thousand displaced persons. To accommodate IDPs, 4 compact accommodation centers were organized, capable of accommodating more than 279 IDPs. Work has begun on the installation of modular towns for IDPs.

Transit support for IDPs was provided (for the period from March to September 2022, more than 40 thousand internally displaced persons came to the community in transit and moved on to other cities).

A humanitarian and logistics HUB has been created in the community, 9 volunteer points and 2 humanitarian aid distribution points have been organized and coordinated, humanitarian and charitable aid from international organizations and Ukrainian philanthropists is being attracted.
